Music is the key element in the interior of the Hôtel du Triangle d’Or which has been redesigned by French architect Philippe Maidenberg in co-operation with five legendary musicians. As a result of the Parisian hotel’s extensive modernisation, guests can now spend a night in one of the hotel’s 45 rooms which are spread out on six floors. Each floor is dedicated to one of the five musicians. Inspired by their lives, reflections and musical works, the artists have brought their personal touch to the interior décor in which custom designed carpets from ege play an import role.
Inspiring, creative, personal, metropolitan and poetic. These are but a few words which describe the atmosphere of the hotel. ”The desire to bring mood and style to the hotel was the motive for the unique renovation project, which Mr. Maidenberg was fully in charge of”, Guy Crouin, co-owner of the hotel, tells. The French architect, who specialises in interior design within the hotel industry, is recognised for creating warm and fashionable spaces with attention to details. His interiors are often inspired by his passion for music – a theme which now decorates Hôtel du Triangle d’Or from entrance to top floor.
Choosing the proper flooring solution is an essential part of shaping any interior design. To Philippe Maidenberg, the carpet needed not only to add atmosphere to the hotel and compliment the musical settings of the artists, but also to set the foundation for a healthy sound environment. ege was chosen for the project, as Philippe Maidenberg and the owners of the hotel, Patricia Blancher and Guy Crouin, both are familiar with ege’s respect for quality and terms of delivery from previous projects.
Paying special attention to the design and technical requirements, ege succeeded in supplying custom designed carpets, decorated with stars and hands. The design makes reference to the five musicians and to the famous Hollywood Walk of Fame - a tribute to artists working in the entertainment industry. Installed in the corridors, at the main stairs and in the 45 redesigned rooms, the carpets add a modern and welcoming atmosphere to the hotel and thus contribute to making a stay at Hôtel du Triangle d’Or.
